PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
Are you excited to learn more about diving and improve your technique? That’s what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. This course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
Why Advanced Open Water Diver?
After your five dives, you’ll be more experienced with better diving techniques, feel more comfortable in the water, and simply enjoy diving more because you better understand the underwater environment.
What do I need to start?
PADI (junior) Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization). To start we can set you up with the PADI Elearning program, so you can finish your theory at home before your holiday.
Minimum age: 12
What will I do?
This certification includes five Adventure Dives, two of which are mandatory:
• Underwater Navigator
• Deep Dive
The other three you can choose for yourself, in Chub Cay we offer the following adventure options:
• Boat Diver
• Drift Diver
• Night Dive
• Peak Performance Buoyancy
• Search and Recovery Diver
• Underwater Naturalist
• Underwater Navigator
• AWARE Fish Identification
How long will it take?
Your knowledge development can be completed at home at your own pace with the PADI Elearning. The five dives are usually done in 2 to 3 days. However it is completely up to you how you would like to schedule your course, and we are flexible to adapt to what is most convenient for you!

The advanced open water course will give you a sneak peak in all kinds of different specialty courses you can do. If you are particularly interested in a certain part of diving, ask your PADI instructor about it. If you choose to learn more about this particular part of diving, it is possible you get credit for the adventure dive from your advanced course!
If you want to know more about how to help your buddy or other divers during your dives, then sign up for the PADI rescue course! During the course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills until they become second nature.
